My history in thermoforming goes back to 1984 when I first formed plastic parts in my kitchen at home. I used the kitchen range, an angle iron clamp, a hobby vacuum pump and a pressed wood mold. With these, I made wire raceways (ABS plastic) for my companies HRS product. Since then, our molds, thermoformers and thermoformed parts have developed. Puffin Plastics is now thermoforming the most "extreme shapes" in the plastic industry. These claims are based on viewing the photos of all the other parts from the thermoforming websites. There are many other thermoforming companies that form in different ways. Thermoforming is indeed a diverse industry. To help in your search for the right company to make your plastic parts, I listed our strengths and limitations. No sense in hiding our weaknesses. If you are unsure of your plastic forming needs, give me a call. If your plastic part does not fit with our expertise, I would be happy to get you pointed in the right direction.
